Responsible to
Providing day to day support and insight on UNIX and Oracle to the Principle Test Manager (PTM) and others in the Test Team. Ultimate responsibility is to the Project Manager.
Tasks
Assist in evaluation of Benchmark activities between Oracle and client
Provide technical insight and assistance in the planning and execution of the Proof of Concept.
Ensure that the technical aspects of the test activities are verified and validated.
Undertake technical reviews and investigations as requested by the PTM
Skills and knowledge
Technical knowledge of UNIX environments, including configuration & monitoring
Detailed knowledge of SQL and UNIX scripting
Technical knowledge of Oracle (DB & apps), including configuration
Experience of having worked on a large ERP Project – using oracle
Planning and progress reporting
Product quality reviews
Interfacing with technical support areas in an assertive but pragmatic manner
